Xcode is a complete developer toolset for creating apps for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Xcode brings user interface design, coding, testing, debugging, and submitting to the App Store into a unified workflow.
Open the Mac App Store app. Search for “xcode” in the search field, at the top-left. Click on the Xcode app item that appears. Click on the Get or Install buttom at the top-right to download and install Xcode. There are a few things you should know, though. Xcode is a huge app, about 7 gigabyte (GB) in size. Configure and build xdebug on macOS Catalina. The reason for these errors is that the /usr/include folder is missing because Apple removed it when they released Xcode 11. But, you can work around this problem. Here is how: First, you need to make sure that Xcode and the command line tools installed.
Downloading and updating Xcode
The current release of Xcode is available as a free download from the Mac App Store. The Mac App Store will notify you when an update is available or you can have macOS update automatically as it becomes available.
The latest beta version and previous versions of Xcode can be downloaded from the Downloads page. To download Xcode, simply sign in with your Apple ID.Apple Developer Program membership is not required.

Submitting apps to the App Store using Xcode
Xcode provides an integrated workflow for Apple Developer Program members to prepare and submit apps to the App Store. Use the latest version of Xcode available on the Mac App Store to submit your apps or, when available, the latest Release Candidate from the Downloads page.
Don't submit apps built using beta software, as beta versions of Xcode, Operating Systems, and SDKs are for development and testing only.

Your feedback goes a long way toward making Xcode even better. With Feedback Assistant, you can report issues or request enhancements to APIs and tools. Provide detailed information about issues, including your system and developer tool versions, and any relevant crash logs or console messages. Invalid private key and certificate pairing
If you receive an error message saying, 'Xcode could not find a valid private-key/certificate pair for this profile in your keychain,” the Keychain Access application on your Mac is missing either the public or private key for the certificate you’re using to sign your app.
This often happens when you're trying to sign and build your app from a different Mac than the one you originally used to request your code signing certificate. It can also happen if your certificate has expired or has been revoked. Ensure that your app’s provisioning profile contains a valid code signing certificate, and that the Keychain Access application on your Mac contains that certificate, the private key originally used to generate that certificate, and the WWDR Intermediate Certificate.

X-Code Install
Only install the Released version of Xcode, which as of the time of this writing is 12.5. Xcode 12.5 was released on April 26, 2021 and has been tested as compatible with building Loop.
Install Xcode On Catalina
Install Xcode from the App Store.
If Xcode 12.5 is not appearing for you in the App Store, it is possible you do not have the current OS installed. To install Xcode 12.5, you will need Big Sur. It doesn’t need to be the latest version of Big Sur, but it cannot be Catalina.
If you have the correct OS and you still are not being prompted to upgrade or install Xcode, it most likely means you previously had either a Beta version installed, or you installed a previous version from the Apple Developer web site. These instructions will help you get back to properly installing Xcode updates from the App Store: Fix-Xcode.
(Note, if you have less than 50 gig free, you should also use the Fix-Xcode link. Otherwise, if you see Xcode 12.5 in the Update list, continue with instructions on this page.)
- It is going to take more than a few minutes to download the Xcode update, so you need to disable your screen saver. Go to Settings / Desktop & Screen Saver / Hot Corners (bottom right) and set your top right corner to “Disable Screen Saver”. Then you can point your mouse to the top right corner to keep your screen saver from disrupting your download.
- Go to the App Store and download the most current version of Xcode.
- Follow the “Command Line Tools” and “Add Apple ID” instructions in Loopdocs Step 9.
- REBOOT (DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP).
- Go forth and build, or update, OR write a new popular iPhone game that will make you millions of dollars!
